The formation team includes Legionary priests and consecrated women who are members of Regnum Christi. They provide both classroom support and spiritual guidance for the students which focus on their integral formation: intellectual, human, spiritual, and apostolic, with the objective of achieving "complete" formation. This approach helps each student understand, in a personal way, that they are unique and endowed by God with a combination of talents and gifts all his/her own. The formation team is committed to helping each student fulfill the unique mission for which he/she was created.
Con-se-cra-te. v. To set apart (for God). To devote to purpose. To sanctify. Gateway Academy is served by several Legionaries and consecrated women. Conducting retreats, giving spiritual guidance and teaching Catholic Formation classes are all part of the apostolic work they do here at the school. Their presence at the school gives the students and faculty an example of lives lived at the service of God and the Church. A consecrated person is a man or woman who, obedient to God the Father’s call and to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, has chosen to profess the evangelical counsels (chastity, obedience and poverty) as a special way of following Christ, in order to devote him or herself to Him with an undivided heart. Like the Apostles, they leave everything behind in order to be with Christ and to put themselves, as He did, at the service of God and their brothers and sisters. (Cf. John Paul II, Vita Consecrata)
Around the world, Legionaries and consecrated women of Regnum Christi concentrate on seven basic areas:
▪Education ▪Family counseling and formation
▪Support for parish life by providing retreats, conventions, pastoral formation and more
▪Youth ministry ▪Catholic doctrine ▪Mass media ▪Ministry to the poor and underprivileged
