2007 District Volleyball Champions

The Lady Titans volleyball team traveled to Crossroads #1 seed in a district tournament that was filled with small school powers.  In the first match, the Titans faced the New Haven Shamrocks, a team with a state championship to their name.  The Shamrocks won the first game and were a point away (24-17) from eliminating the Titans when Suddenly the blue and gold lady warriors dug down deep inside and started pounding the nets, diving across the floor, and smothered the Shamrocks with defense.  In one of the most incredible comebacks in the Titan history, the Lady Titans won the game 26-24.  The Titans were relentless in the third game and completely dominated 25-4.  This set up the championship with Chamois.  The Lady Titans could taste the championship and it would not be taken from them.  The Titans launched lightning strike spikes, blocked shots, dug shots out and with precision, dismantled Chamois in 2 straight games to win Gateway's first district championship in any sport.  On the game winning point the place went wild with Blue and Gold euphoria, hugs, tears, and the incredible presentation of the trophy that said "District Champions." 

Great job Coach Anderson, Coach Zelnis, we are so incredibly proud of you.  Titans Rule!  We ARE GA!
