As in the past, this dinner / auction event is the largest fundraiser for Gateway Academy.

2006 – 2007 OUT OF AFRICA Gala Benefit Auction (Success!)

Gateway Academy hosted its annual auction, Out of Africa, on Saturday, March 10, 2007 under the leadership of co-chairs Delores Campbell & Penny Glanvill.

The event began with a silent auction, followed by dinner and a live auction. The evening came to a close when Coach Rob Westling helped raise money for Fund-the-Cause for Gateway buses to be used for athletic events, field trips and retreats.

Out of Africa was a huge success thanks to our guests and all our hardworking volunteers.

We are in the planning stages of our next Gala Benefit Auction and look forward to another wonderful evening. The date of the 2007 – 2008 Gala Benefit Auction will be Saturday, March 8th, 2008, so be sure to mark your calendars!

Gala Benefit Auction General Information

• A raffle for $10,000 is held in conjunction with this fundraising event.
• All $100 Treasure Chest Raffle Tickets that are purchased will count toward the $1,500 family fundraising expectation. This donation is NOT tax deductible.
• All items (oral auction and silent auction), purchased the night of the Auction (March 8th), will count toward the $1,500 family fundraising expectation. This donation is NOT tax deductible unless the buyer pays more than the market value of the item (tax deduction is the difference between the price the buyer paid and the market value).
• All Auction Catalog Ads sold will count toward the $1,500 family fundraising expectation. This donation IS tax deductible.
• AUCTION DONATIONS WILL NOT COUNT TOWARD THE $1,500 FAMILY FUNDRAISING EXPECTATION.
• TICKETS TO ATTEND THE AUCTION DINNER WILL NOT COUNT TOWARD THE $1,500 FAMILY FUNDRAISING EXPECTATION.
